Hybrid and electric have climbed in a similar trend since 2008. In 2008, only 1%of vehicles used hybrid, and electric wasn’t used at all. There was an increase in hybrid and electric at 11% and 4%, respectively in 2018. By 2028, it is predicted that electric and hybrid have become the first and second popular energy (32% and 30%, respectively).
