I am going to talk about tennis as an outdoor sport which I would love to try practicing. I’ve watched some videos about athletes or my friends playing tennis in social media and I found that the sport is quite interesting and cool. Besides that, there’s a tennis field near to my office, so I think this is an interest meets with opportunities: I have friends who’s playing tennis whom I could ask for their help to teach me how to do the sport and I know where I could practice the sport.
I need to learn first about the basic of this sport because I reckon there’s always specific goal for practicing it. For instance, when you’re practicing running, your goal might be about improving your cardio. And, to achieve that, you need to know about how to do running in an effective way. Considering that, I also see that I need to learn some basics about tennis before I could really call my self as practicing the sport. I don’t want to make my self seemed as practicing tennis, while in fact, I’m practicing other similar sport with racket, such as badminton. I know that I need to understand how I should grab the tennis racket in a right way, how to position my body, how to move it, how to serve, and most importantly, how to make a score.
Again, I have a quite high motivation of practicing this sport because I see that people playing it looked cool. They’re wearing nice outfits and it seems that they also practicing this sport for a branding purpose. I’ve also heard about businessmen make their deals while playing tennis with their partners. So, I believe that by being able to practicing tennis, it could benefit me, not only for health purpose, but for a larger interest that I might have with other people in the future.
