I’d like to try my first marathon when i go to travel in Tokyo next year. My boy friend has been running marathon for years, but i never dreamed i would be running with him. I plan to manage to complete my first marathon in six hours. And recently i has started running.
There are many training programs available online which help me build up to running 5 kilometers. I like these programs because they’re easy to follow and don’t push me too hard. Additionally, My boy friend give me a simple but useful tip. He told me that i needn’t run very slowly until my fitness increase well. I could run at a speed that feels comfortable, but time myself and try to run a bit faster each time. I did my first 5K in half hour after only 4 weeks, which encourages me a lot. Now i am practicing 15 kilometers, which is certainly challenge. But, luckily, i found that listening to music when I am running can be very helpful. Music takes my mind off things and help my body get into a rhythm and forget about the stress from fatigue. I’d say music is better than running with boy friend especially as he is a bit competitive.
Now, I aim to continue training regularly three times a week. I will run in the morning in weekdays and in the evening in weekends. Time of day is not so important, but I need to be consistent. I believed it’s worth putting my name down for 42 kilometers, my first marathon, after fully be prepared.
