The bar graph gives information about the quantity of graduate students who decided to seek for jobs in fields like: education, retail, finance and I.T; after finishing their undergraduate studies at a British university. The survey considers two years in the past (2008, 2018) and makes a prediction for more ten years (2028).
Overall, two sector of the economy, education and retail, which had in 2008 the biggest demand of students, experienced a noticeable downward trend over the period. In addition, the predictions for 2028, put both these sector in the last positions, with these student´s search less than a half of the first chosen, finance sector. In contrast, finance and I.T, which its search started off in 2008 lower than the others, saw a significant rise. Moreover, I.T., which was is the least in 2008, is expected to have the highest increase by 2028.
In 2008, 300 and 400 graduate students applyed for jobs in education and retail, respectively. By 2018, these numbers had fallen to slightly above 200 for education and just above 300 for retail. Then, the predictions for 2028 have kept this downward trend, with a less considerable fallen in education than in retail, which numbers figure above 175 students for education and below 175 for retail.
Regarding to finance and I.T., contrasting with the other sectors, there was a rise tendency. The number of students seeking for jobs started off 250 and 50, for finance and I.T., respectively. After that, they increased to above 350 for finance and almost tripled in I.T. While predictions have put the number of finance students to around 425, the projections to I.T. almost doubled the numbers to around 300 applicants.
