The diagram illustrates the steps that are taken in order to produce a single bottle of wine. Overall, one wine glass container involves a total of eight steps in processing 400 mature grapes.
Initially, about 400 of this fruit is picked and crushed using a machine to produce 3L of juice. This will then be fermented for 14 days which will then be pressed to produce 1000ml liquid.
The next step is to filter the 1L liquid and the filtrate will be poured in barrels for storage. Later it will be added in a 750m bottle to be transported by a truck to a supermarket.
Moreover, there is waste produced during crushing, filtering and pressing and it is used to make compost.
