The two maps give information about the changes in the school between now and in year 2025.
Overall, the map in 2025 shows major changes: the reduction and relocation of some of the parking spaces, the playground will be made smaller to accommodate the addition of more basketball courts, and the replacement of the canteen by the science building.
Considering the first map, which shows how the school looks as it is now, 200 parking spaces are available and are located at the north side of the school building. The basketball and tennis courts, which can be found at the east side of the school building, have the playground down to it. The area that runs along the west side of the school building and the playground are occupied by three different structures: the canteen, the sports building and the football court.
By looking at the future map, which is in 2025, significant changes can be noticed. First, the 200 parking spaces at the top will be reduced to only 150. However, 20 more staff parking spaces will occupy half the area where the basketball courts were before. Then, a round about will be constructed between these two parking lots. Additionally, the tennis court will have been replaced by the canteen, which previously stood at the east side of the school building and where a new science building will be built. While the sports building and football field will remain unchanged, the playground will be made smaller in size to accommodate two more basketball courts. Finally, it is noteworthy that 10 more parking spaces will have been created just at the south side of the tennis courts by year 2025.

Very nice answer! I like your structure: your overview clearly shows the differences between the two maps and the two paragraphs describe each map in detail. Here are some small corrections:
– “located at the north side of the school building”, “just at the south side of the tennis courts”
by year 2025.” We usually use the preposition “on” (“on the north side”/ “on the south side”)
– “and in year 2025”. You can say “in 2025” or “in the year 2025” (the meaning is the same)
– “have the playground down to it” the correct word is “below” (have the playground below it)
– “round about” the correct word is roundabout (one word)
Thank you Eli. I was honestly unsure of the use of preposition. So is it always on? Or sometimes you can also use at and in?
With task 1 maps, use “on”. You could use “in” if you are talking about an enclosed space. For example, “the nicest housing is in the north of Edinburgh”. You could use “at” when you are describing a specific place (to meet, for example). For example, let’s meet at the north exit of the train station.
