Is there any kind of technology you use at work?
Useful Language
Very modern and advanced.
“My company uses cutting-edge software to streamline our workflow.”
Easy to use and understand.
“We recently switched to a more user-friendly project management system.”
Helping to effectively complete tasks
“Using AI tools has been a time-saving solution for handling repetitive tasks.”`
The most advanced technology.
“Our office is equipped with state-of-the-art video conferencing tools.”
Frequently experiences small technical errors.
“The software we use is prone to glitches, which can be really frustrating during important tasks.”
Depending too much on digital tools.
“I’d say we are over-reliant on technology, and when it crashes, work comes to a standstill.”
Being bombarded with messages and alerts.
“Constant notifications from work apps can make it difficult to concentrate.”
Is there any kind of technology you use at work?
Well, I use my laptop on a daily basis. I need it for checking my website, for editing videos… to be honest, I don’t think I could even do my work without a laptop or some sort of computer. Last year, I bought a new laptop and it made a world of difference to my productivity. Suddenly, I didn’t have to wait hours to upload a new video to YouTube and the speed of editing on my new laptop compared to my old one was like night and day.

Yes there’re a computer that I use to introduce data and researchers on line.
We also have a tablet used to order the patient meals from the catering department at the hospital.
It’s a good response, however, there are a few errors that need to be corrected. Your corrected answer could look like this: “Yes, there is a computer that I use to input data and conduct research online. We also have a tablet that we use to order patient meals from the catering department at the hospital.”
Mistakes:
1. Instead of “there’re”, use “there is” as you were talking about one computer.
2. Replace “introduce data” with “input data”. Introduce is not the correct word in this context.
3. The word “researchers” should be “research”. Your usage suggested you were introducing people, not doing study or investigation work.
Keep practicing.
What I mostly use at work is my smartphone. It’s a cutting -edge model and I can get access to any kind of documents or videos, I can be aware of any news or notifications from work no matter where I am. Unfortunately, I can’t use my laptop in proper use as I am not so good at computer skills. So, I have to take up learning it soon. However, some constant notifications can get more difficult to concentrate. Especially, the ones which make you take a glance at.
Great response! There are just a few areas you could improve. Here’s a corrected version:
“What I mostly use at work is my smartphone. It’s a cutting edge model, and I can access any type of document or video. I also stay aware of any news or notifications from work, no matter where I am. Unfortunately, I can’t use my laptop properly because I’m not that good with computer skills. So, I’ll need to start learning how to use it soon. However, the constant notifications can make it hard to concentrate, especially those that force me to glance at my phone.”
Mistakes to work on:
1. Make sure your phrases flow seamlessly. For example, instead of using ‘in proper use,’ simply say ‘properly.’
2. Use the correct prepositions. For example, you’d say ‘glance at my phone’ not ‘take a glance at.’
3. ‘Any kind of’ tends to sound more informal. It would be better to use ‘any type of’ in this context. Keep up the good work!
Using modern technology isn’t just a luxury; on the contrary, it has become an essential part of the education process, making it easier than before. So, I got used to using cutting-edge technology, hoping it serves me in delivering my lessons effectively. After using technology, I realized how user-friendly it is. To be honest, I didn’t believe in using it widely, but since I did, I figured out how wrong I was. I noticed its profound effect on my students. As a math teacher, sometimes it’s not easy to explain certain topics without using technology. I once tried to explain a topic in my own way, but it wasn’t the easiest approach. However, when I re-explained it using my laptop and a projector, most of my students were able to understand it easily. From that moment on, I decided to use technology whenever possible in my lessons.
Your response is quite good, but there are a few small improvements you could make, particularly in terms of clarity and relevancy to the question asked. See below for a corrected version:
“Modern technology isn’t just a luxury; it’s an essential part of my teaching process. I often use advanced tech tools like my laptop and projector to deliver lessons more effectively. Before I started using technology, I wasn’t entirely convinced of its benefits. However, when I began using it regularly, I realised how user-friendly and beneficial it could be. As a math teacher, some topics can be challenging to explain without the help of technology. For instance, I once tried to explain a concept in my own way, but it wasn’t as clear as I hoped. When I re-explained using a laptop and projector, however, most of my students understood the topic more easily. Since that experience, I’ve decided to use technology in my teaching wherever possible.”
1. Stay focused on the question: The original question was asking for specific types of technology used at work. So, it would be beneficial to name specific tools or software you use.
2. More straightforward syntax: The phrase “hoping it serves me in delivering my lessons effectively.” sounds a bit off. You might want to say, “to deliver lessons more effectively.”
3. Decrease redundancies: You mentioned twice about your skepticism and then realization of technology’s benefits. This repetition can be reduced. Instead of “After using technology, I realized how user-friendly it is. To be honest, I didn’t believe in using it widely, but since I did, I figured out how wrong I was.” You could say, “Before I started using technology, I wasn’t entirely convinced of its benefits. However, when I began using it regularly, I realized how user-friendly and beneficial it could be.”
Of course, I use modern technology in my work, and I’m keen on using cutting-edge technology. I got used to using my laptop to elaborate on some topics, and I can’t imagine how I can explain them without using technology. Sometimes, I use a projector to show my lessons. It definitely has a profound effect on my students; at least, it helps them focus on what I’m sayinل

First, make sure all your words are fully typed out (“saying” was cut off).
Second, you should use “could” after “I can’t imagine how I” as the imagined situation didn’t happen.
