  1. Well, I live in a community which is located in the outskirts of Austin. It’s a spacious three bedrooms apartment consisting of an open-plan kitchen and a balcony where spend most of time. I currently live with my parents, my brother and my sister-in-law in this apartment.

    1. Your answer is quite good, but there are a few mistakes. Here’s a corrected version:

“Well, I live in a community that’s located on the outskirts of Austin. It’s a spacious three-bedroom apartment with an open-plan kitchen, and a balcony where I spend most of my time. I currently live with my parents, my brother, and my sister-in-law in this apartment.”

      1. Use “that’s” instead of “which is” when the clause is essential to the noun.
      2. When you’re talking about ‘outskirts’, the correct preposition is ‘on’ not ‘in’.
      3. Remember to have “I” before “spend”, otherwise, it isn’t clear who is spending time on the balcony.
      Keep practicing, you’re doing well!

  2. I live in a modern apartment on the outskirts of Pretoria. There are 2 bedrooms, an open plan kitchen and a living room, which is where I spend most of my time because I placed my desk in the corner of the living room, and I spend the lion’s share of my time on my desk on my laptop when I am at home.

    1. Your answer is good! There is just a minor mistake. Here’s the corrected sentence: “I spend the lion’s share of my time at my desk on my laptop when I am at home.” We usually say ‘at the desk’ instead of ‘on the desk’.

So, the overall corrected version would be: “I live in a modern apartment on the outskirts of Pretoria. It has two bedrooms, an open plan kitchen, and a living room. The living room is where I spend most of my time because I’ve placed my desk in one corner, and when I am at home, I spend the lion’s share of my time at my desk on my laptop.”

      Keep up the good work!

  3. I live in the center of London. I live in a guest house which my company rents this guest house for me and my colleagues. The guest house is a relatively large apartment. There are six rooms in this building. These rooms include the bathrooms. The kitchen and dining room are shared on the ground floor of the building. Outside the building, there’s a pool, but that isn’t a swimming pool. The guest house is surrounded by walls.

    1. Your answer is generally good, but there are a few small errors I caught. Here’s the corrected version:

“I live in the center of London, in a guest house that my company rents for me and my colleagues. The guest house is actually a relatively large apartment. It has six rooms, including the bathrooms. The kitchen and dining room are shared spaces, and they’re on the ground floor of the building. Outside, there’s a pool, but it’s not for swimming. The guest house is surrounded by walls.”

      Mistakes:

      1. Look at the sentence structure and the use of the phrase “this guest house.” You don’t need to use the word “this” in your sentence.

      2. “There are six rooms in this building. These rooms include the bathrooms.” This sentence can be combined into one to sound more natural.

      3. “there’s a pool, but that isn’t a swimming pool.” The word ‘that’ sounds a bit awkward in this context. ‘It’s not for swimming’ sounds more natural in spoken English.

      Keep practicing! You’re doing well.

  4. Well I live in a beautiful old apartment on outskirts of Mumbai , which we can call as entrance for Mumbai city. It Mumbai Suburban.

It’s relatively large apartment which I stay at home with my family.
There is one bedroom, one living room and one open plan kitchen where I spend most of time.

    1. Your response is nearly there! However, there are a few parts that could be clearer and a bit more grammatically correct. Here is your corrected version:

“Well, I live in a beautiful old apartment on the outskirts of Mumbai, which we can consider the entrance to the city. It’s in Mumbai Suburban.

It’s a relatively large apartment where I stay with my family. We have one bedroom, one living room, and an open plan kitchen where I spend most of my time.”

To help you improve your speaking, please focus on these three points:

      1. Include the article ‘the’ before ‘outskirts’ to clarify your meaning – “on the outskirts of Mumbai”.
      2. ‘Which I stay at home with my family’ can be better expressed as ‘where I stay with my family.’
      3. It’s better to say, “We have one bedroom” instead of “There is one bedroom”.

      Keep practicing!

  5. I live in a three bedroom apartment on the outskirts of Ankara. It has 3 bedrooms and it feels cosy and relaxing. And the thing I love most about the apartment is that it is in a quiet place where you can live peacefully.

    1. Your answer is in good shape! There is only a small error. Here’s the corrected answer:

“I live in a three-bedroom apartment on the outskirts of Ankara. It’s cosy and relaxing. The thing I love most about the apartment is that it’s in a quiet place where you can live peacefully.”

Remember not to repeat the same information twice. You mentioned the number of bedrooms twice in your answer, so I removed the repetition. Keep practicing!

  6. Well, I live in a beautiful new apartment in a residential neighborhood in Jeddah.
It’s relatively small, but it’s bright and cheerful apartment, and I live there with my family.
There are two bedrooms, functional kitchen, and a cosy living room where I spend most of my time because it has a large-sized window that overlooks the Main Street.

    1. Your answer is quite good already, but there is a minor mistake in the arrangement of your adjectives. You should say “it’s a bright and cheerful, relatively small apartment” instead of “It’s relatively small, but it’s bright and cheerful apartment”.

Corrected version: “Well, I live in a beautiful new apartment in a residential neighborhood in Jeddah. It’s a bright and cheerful, relatively small apartment where I live with my family. There are two bedrooms, a functional kitchen, and a cosy living room where I spend most of my time because it has a large-sized window that overlooks the Main Street.”

  7. I live in small flat, located at Taguig City.I share it with my borther, It has 2 bedrooms and a living room, and an open-plan kitchen which where I want to spend most of my time.

    1. Your answer is generally good, but with a few revisions, it can be improved. Here’s a corrected version:

“I live in a small flat, located in Taguig City. I share it with my brother. It has two bedrooms, a living room, and an open-plan kitchen where I like to spend most of my time.”

      1. Use “a” before “small flat” to follow proper English grammar rules.
      2. Normally, we say “located in” a city, not “at”.
      3. Watch out for your spelling of “brother”. There was a small typo in there.
      4. A more natural way to express your fondness for your kitchen might be to say “where I like to spend most of my time” instead of “which where I want to spend most of my time”.

      Keep up the good work!
