It is true that the negative effects of electric cars on environment is considerably low in comparison with other vehicle types such as petrol and diesel due to the fact that they are considered to be more eco-friendly . However, despite of having number of great qualities which prevent the environment being hurt, there are wide range of distractors that keep buyers away purchasing them .Here I am going to discuss some barriers related to buying electric vehicles and the ways we can overcome the challenges and encourage public to buy them.
The most common and obvious reason for this negative trend is that the exorbitant amount of money they have to pay in order to opt for an electric car and this consider to be more unfavourable situation for the people who are coming from less fortunate families even though they prefer green living to other unsustainable ways of living.. Nevertheless, the cost of living is skyrocketing nowadays and people are not fortunate enough even to address their fundamental needs such as food and shelter .One of greatest solutions to this matter would be the introduction of loan systems which could be paid over longer time periods without any hidden cost.
The second most pressing concern when it comes to buying an electric car is that some governments seem to be less initiative to launch projects or programmes by which help younger generation to make decisions to purchase them through international business opportunities .Take Sri Lanka as an example. Although there are considerable number of aspirants who want to go for a green option like an environmental- friendly car ,the likelihood of getting state support is far less surprisingly enough. In fact, this could be easier to tackle if the government pay more attention to broaden global business partnership , particularly with the developed countries.
Last but not least, there seems to be a poor understanding among the people about the dire consequences which can pose a threat to our environment using a lot more cheaper car options and how green technology associated with cars affect our surrounding for the better with low carbon emissions. Due to this reason , even though many people can afford the cost for a green vehicle, they eventually are ended up purchasing cheaper vehicles which are more lethal to our environment. A one of most effective ways to alleviate this matter is that states should focus on holding public awareness programmes which can educate the residents to buy the best vehicles for a healthier environment.
To sum up, if the governments are wise enough to make green choices to assist public through sustainable green living, intensive financial plans and awareness campaigns , alleviating the issues related to purchasing electric vehicles would not be a nightmare.

Remember no “of” after despite. You can use “instead of” or simply “despite”. I sometimes forget that!
Thanks!
When you type, you need to leave a space after (not before) a full stop and a comma.

Great essay Deepika. You have lots of very good vocabulary: “barriers, overcome the challenges, exorbitant amount of money, skyrocketing, etc. One piece of advice is to simply restate your opinion in the conclusion. Have a look at the lesson on how to write a conclusion for Task 2 in the Academic Writing course: https://englishprotips.com/lessons/how-to-write-a-conclusion/
Thanks a million Sir James! Its very kind of you to back me up!
Great advice here from the community. This is your best writing yet. As James said, you would get a very high score for Lexical Resource (vocabulary). This essay is almost 500 words- that’s great but just make sure that you have time in the exam to finish your answer. It is better to finish a 250-word answer, than to only write half of a 500-word answer.
You are always supporting me to get lot more better. I keep practicing to get to the point that you expect as a teacher.
